"Max Patch is a popular destination for hikers and campers with a

beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A variety of wildflowers

bloom there from time to time. Fall 2016 had an extra heavy bloom of

Queen Anne’s Lace. The sunset on that evening turned the flowers to a

golden hue."
