Born in Chester County, PA and now living in Candler, NC, Sara is one of many in her family's generations of artists. Her inspiration began with her parents working as freelance graphic designers, illustrators, and woodworkers, and includes her brother Tim and other relatives as well working as professional artists.
Sara's formal training started at Maryland Institute College of Art and then the Art Students League in NYC, where she studied painting full-time for seven years. There she learned to paint still-life, landscape, and figure. She has exhibited in the northeast in galleries and academic institutions, art clubs in NYC, auctions on the Hudson River, and private house art shows.
Sara wishes to convey to people the beauty of their existence through her pictorial language and show how light is a penetrating force in daily life.
