My name is Barbara Halmi Nene, and my home is in Franklin, North Carolina.

Several years ago, when I began weaving, I chose the name "Bert's Weaves" for my studio because my grandkids called me Bert when they were toddlers and still do to this day.

I am fortunate to have found my creative outlet in weaving and enjoy combining textures, colors, patterns, and various yarns into wearable art.

The rewards for this production go well beyond the design and weaving process and continue through the pleasure of seeing the final product worn and enjoyed by my clients.
