Miniatures do not necessarily mean dollhouses, which are large and difficult to display. A room box tells a good story in a much smaller space.
I consider my art to be a “moment in time.” My goal is to invite the viewer to enter the scene, look around, and get a feel for who was previously in the room, what they were doing, and perhaps what they were feeling – to become part of the art.
Even as a child, I loved tiny things and learned to make many from found items. I have been creating miniatures this way for over 25 years. I enjoy teaching classes, and being present when students discover that they too can create beautiful scenes. Hopefully, I have instilled a love for miniatures throughout my journey.
