“I describe my style as ‘painterly realism’ with an emphasis on the focal point using light and shadow and their interaction on a variety of subjects. I’m inspired by our beautiful nature and objects that I find esthetically pleasing. Whether I’m painting flowers, landscapes, animals, or a still life, I look for an emotional attachment to the subject. My paintings are to be uplifting and a pleasure for the viewer to enjoy. These Blue Ridge Mountains are forever changing and bringing daily painting material that is spectacular and a blessing.”
