Empowering her love of traditional glass blowing, Kristen Munoz studied at Penland School of Crafts where she acquired several scholarships to attend stained glass, flame working, blacksmithing and hot glass classes. There she awakened her skills to create a unique talent base which helps her express a diversity of artwork that touches deep into the roots of these ancient crafts.
Since then she has built Morning Star Studios, Marshall County, which uses 98% local quartz silica mined in Spruce Pine, NC. Spruce Pine is known for having the purest quartz in the world.
Kristen travels in open availability to festivals and art shows sharing the beauty and magic of glass blowing through live demonstration.
